Back to Earth

My series of mixed media & acrylic on canvases titled “Back to earth”, an aesthetic expression of the collision of chaos and spirituality. In the fast-paced world today where, we are living in total Chaos, that of economical, political, relationship, social chaos etc., mankind often expresses a desire for a savior whether it be Christ,Abraham, Buddha or the Prophet.
In this world of chaos if pure souls takes birth today, they won’t look like which we see in the images everywhere, that with the tangled hair on the top of head and wearing robe. Instead they will just look like us, wearing contemporary dresses with the modern appliance etc. But their actions & deeds will be of them. They will speak those words which they taught 1000 years ago, and in today’s world we need their spiritual law of success which is a virtual reality, toolkit for the 21st –century spiritual traveler.
The work is a meeting ground of figurative & non figurative expression and explores the idea of subjecting the self to rigors upon the anvil. The figure is incidental rather than the focus of the painting and appears almost camouflaged behind a busy network of lines & colures. I am trying to create a visual language of my own.
